Wrote 10 pages of Book 8 of "The Demonata". This was a key scene, when one of the major characters of the series ... but no, that might be giving too much away!! I'll be taking a break from it over the next few days, because I'm going to London, but I'll get stuck back in next Wednesday.
Saw the original film of "The Invisible Man" again tonight. I've seen that film LOTS of times over the years, and it never fails to impress. The effects are great, even 70+ years later, and it has a nice savage sense of humour. I've got a boxed set, with several of the sequels, which I'll probably watch over the next week or two.
I've also been watching the first series of "Angel" this week. I have to say I was very disappointed with the first handful of episodes. It feels very awkward and forced, nowhere near as much fun as "Buffy", or as vibrant. I'm hoping it will improve over the course of the series, but so far I've seen nothing to make me want to watch series two ...

To the person who said that Buffy bugs them..watch an episode or two, you won't regret it. How can anyone not like it?!!!!! And personally I don't like Angel as much as Buffy.......and Buffy has died two times, but one was only by technicality, as her heart stopped beating for a few seconds but Xander did that breath thingy 9i've forgotten how you spell it) during Prophecy Girl (Season One, Episode Twelve) and the other time was a plot device....yeah, I'm obsessed. Woah, woah Darren. Angel is far superior to Buffy, and I love both shows.
Although Angel(The Show) is generally gloomier than Buffy(The Show) this is simply because Angel(The Character) is generally more gloomy than Buffy(The Character). However, there are a few comedy episodes in the first season and when a new character arrives he's pretty comic relief-ish at first.
The first season of Angel is regarded as one of if not the worst out of the five. Seasons Two, Three and Five and much better than One and Four.
Stick with the show, you won't regret it. | |

Buffy the Vampire Slayer bugs me, personally... I've never actually watched an episode but I used to have a whole bunch of friends who were obsessed beyond all reason with the show... and then they started singing these songs from a musical episode of the show and they were.... special... but then again, I don't watch much tv
