The tour's been going splendidly. Had a very busy second day on
Wednesday, a big school event and a very enjoyable evening event. I did
my "Ballad of Darren Shan" at the public event -- the story of the
first 3 books of The Saga set
to rhyme. I used to do that a lot at events, but haven't performed it
regularly for some years now. I really enjoyed going back to it, and
the kids who volunteered to help me with it were all top-notch -- so I
might roll it out a few more times over the coming weeks ... |
| Kathryn Winstanley May 3, 2008 07:05 PM PDT Hi Darren! :) I'm glad to hear the touring is going well! And I hope that the rest of the tour goes well too :) I really can't wait to read Death's Shadow. I haven't been able to get to any of the bookstores to see if it's in yet. But I'll be sure to drag my dad along to one soon to have a look for it! From your huge fan Kathryn! :) | ||

| Sarah McGovern May 1, 2008 09:36 PM PDT Hey Darren It was really great to meet you at the public event in Canterbury, you probably won't remember me as there was quite a lot of people there, but if it helps I wore a black t-shirt with "I don't suffer from insanity I enjoy it!" slogan on it and had my photo taken with you. I was going to say to you that I quite often post on your on your blog, but when I handed you my books, I got lost for what to say. It was a real honour to meet you, I've been a fan for years, first picked up The Saga when the first trilogy book was released; been hooked ever since. I hope you come down to Canterbury again, I'm definately going to have to come to another event; the ballad of darren shan was great and funny, and the sneak peak of the 4 book series was awesome! Thanks for the excellent event and good luck on the rest of your tour | ||
